The Freelance Writers meet organized by Chillibreeze in Mumbai at the Prithvi Cafe on April, 17, 2010 had limited, but an interesting mix of budding and established writers. The Meet was coordinated by Hetal Kudecha, coordinator for the Mumbai Chapter.
The coordinator introduced Chillibreeze and the services it offered, as well as informed the participants of the new offerings on the anvil – the Children’s Workshop and the online community forums.
Most writers were interested in knowing the methodology adopted by Chillibreeze in assessing the suitability for a project. They were curious to know whether the project offers that they were receiving were based on the sample article submitted by them.
Another query raised by participants was whether Chillibreeze had content, or offered content services in relation to entertainment and sports industry. Scriptwriting, novel writing, technical manual for engineering industry, occult sciences and lot of other types of content creation and content information was discussed. It was felt that Chillibreeze, being such a popular content writing and editing Services Company, should offer its services across a wide range of topics.
Participants were also keen on the Children’s Workshop and expressed interest in hosting the same when it happened in May in Mumbai. The participants also expressed interest in the Editing Assessment Tests offered by Chillibreeze and expressed willingness to go ahead with the same.
The participants were also informed about theme based workshops that would be held by Chillibreeze where experienced writers and editors would be invited to share their thoughts.
The conversation flowed freely over cappuccinos and doughnuts, with the main takeaway of the Meet being networking and connecting with like-minded writers. The participants at the Meet brought a lot to the table in terms of their varied experience and ‘checkered careers’ as one writer very well summed it up. The participants agreed to stay in touch through the online forums created by Chillibreeze, and also promised to attend many such workshops to be held in future.
