Chillibreeze hosted a Freelance Writer Meet in Bangalore at the Cha Bar in the Leela Galleria on the 17th of April 2010. Over 30 writers and editors attended the Meet. Nina Mukherjee, coordinator for the Bangalore chapter welcomed the participants and gave a brief introduction about Chillibreeze. This was followed by an introduction to the writing and editing assessment and it’s benefits and a brief talk about the expert review services offered by Chillibreeze.
Nina introduced Bhagyalakshmi Krishnamurthy, a Chillibreeze writer who spoke about the Travel writing assessment that she had recently taken. She answered a number of queries related to the assessments including, ‘Why writers need to be assessed’, the parameters evaluated and the benefits of the assessment.
The discussions moved on to the e-publishing services offered by Chillibreeze and an announcement about the Children’s workshops in Bangalore and the soon to be launched editing course online. Many of the writers were interested in Workshop and in the Editing course. Conversation flowed freely as writers connected with each other over tea. The participants agreed to stay in touch through the online forums created by Chillibreeze, and also promised to attend many such workshops to be held in future.
