The Travel Writing Workshop conducted in Delhi on 25th April in association with India Today Travel Plus and The Residence Group of Small Luxury Hotels was a sold-out event packed to capacity.
The workshop ran from 9.30am to 4pm at the Panchsheel Park branch of The Residence.

The editor of India Today Travel Plus Ritu Rohatgi then conducted a session on what India Today Travel Plus is all about, what they look for in writers, the less glamorous side of travel writing, tight budgets in the industry, how to get published, working with editors, researching travel articles, what types of articles and briefs catch their eye and much more. Ritu and deputy editor Kalyani Prasher then questions from the writers on a variety of areas.

The top 3 writers will also get merit certificates based on participation in the workshop and quality of writing samples submitted at the end of the event. 1 special award – the India Today Travel Plus Best Writer Award will also be given to the best writer.

Trainer Profile: As the founder of WriteGroove Solutions, a Hyderabad-based content and training organisation, David provides editorial consulting, content solutions and training services to a range of companies in India and elsewhere. During his time in Hyderabad, he has also managed an outsourced publishing operation for a US business association, developing and working with a team of Indian writers.
While in the US, David held positions with Simon & Schuster and a number of other prominent publishers. He was the Associate Publisher and Managing Editor of Thomas Travel Ventures’ Official Tour Directory. Currently, he provides travel-related writing and editing services to PhoCusWright, one of the leading sources of information on the travel industry.
As a writer, David has contributed articles on travel, culture, English and music to publications including The Hindu, Dainik Jagran, and numerous websites and portals. He has traveled extensively throughout much of world, including India and other parts of Asia, Africa, Europe, North and Central America.
