Chillibreeze conducted a Travel Writing workshop in Hyderabad on Saturday, the 21st of March 2009. The event was held at the Aditya Park Hotel between 9am and 2pm. The workshop fees including lunch was Rs 2500 and was attended to full capacity of seats available, with some writers coming from as far as Mumbai and Bangalore to attend!
The workshop covered various aspects of travel writing and was highly interactive with plenty of on the spot writing exercises.
Trainer David Juman engaged the audience with his tips on writing and insights on getting published and the participants were full of praise for the American writer, publishing professional, English trainer and communications expert.
A quick break for tea allowed writers to mingle and make new friends before they headed in for the second session of the workshop.
David spoke about the different kinds of travel writing and had the participants go through practical exercises which were extremely useful to writers to help hone their skills for different target clients – from guidebooks to magazines to blogs.
At the end of the workshop, writing samples were collected from all participants and a resource guide handout was shared. Evaluation of these samples done after the workshop and certificates of participation will be mailed to all those who attended.
Merit Certificates will be awarded and mailed to with evaluations to those who showed an extra spark of talent, based on the quality of their writing, aptitude and performance during the workshop.

The event ended with a buffet lunch at the Promenade restaurant in Aditya Park giving writers some more time to swap contact details, advice and more!
