Eligibility:

One-year Postgraduate Diploma Program: A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required. Applicants awaiting final year examination results or who will be graduating this year may also apply. Read more here…

Course Details:

IIJNM offers a curriculum developed in association with Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, New York. Its programs in print, television, radio and online/multimedia journalism embody the best practices in media industry and media technology. Today, the institute is regarded by many in the media community as among the best in journalism study in all of South Asia.

Students study under the guidance of Indian and foreign veteran journalists who are complemented by guest lecturers from the media industry. Further, students get the opportunity to intern at media organizations for between two weeks and a month. Campus:

IIJNM is situated on 5 acres of beautifully kept grounds surrounded by rolling hills.

The 30,000-sq.-ft. facility features large classrooms, auditoriums, a sophisticated media lab, library, and conference rooms. Each student is assigned a private study area with a personal computer connected to a network running powerful servers, e-mail, and high-speed 24 hour access to the Internet. Read more here…

Hostel:

The IIJNM program requires intense study for one year, and all students must preferably stay in the college dormitory next to the campus, unless an exemption is granted. A convenient and modern residential facility is provided separately for male and female students.

Healthy climate, adequate supply of clean water, and a secure area free of pollution and noise make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The campus is just 45 minutes from Bangalore city center, and public transport runs very frequently. More on accommodation here…

i think this is a nice institute nd the location is perfect i think any body who wants to do mass comm should choose this
