Established in 1947 with just a postgraduate diploma course in journalism it expanded into the Dept of Journalism and Communication in 1976 and is today among the foremost departments of the University

M.Sc Electronic Media

Admission Information:

Eligibility: Graduates of all disciplines

Admission forms available by April

Entrance test and Interview in May/June.

Seats : 30(MA) and 20 (M.Sc)

Hostel: Available

Other Activities & Facilities:

Has Teaching Research Facilities in media, culture and society,Tamil Journalism etc
In-service training for media staff
Computer lab and Video Production equipment
A good library of books on media and communication

Kindly update the info on this page. The HoD is not Dr. Josephine since she retired quite some time ago
