Chillibreeze hosted ‘Doodles and Scribbles’ a creative writing workshop for children at the British Council Library in Bangalore on the 19th of June 2010. The Workshop received a fabulous response and was attended by 22 bright-eyed kids who were excited about the workshop.
Nina Mukherjee set the ball rolling by introducing the trainer Meenakshi Venkat, a former literature teacher and an experienced book editor based in Bangalore.. The children participated with enthusiasm in the activities and liked the idea of connecting their ideas and writing to visuals and pictures. As the children read out their work they were given some tips on their plot, characters and their story outline.
The children wanted to know more about story writing and expressed interest in a poetry workshop. The parents wanted Chillibreeze to conduct more such workshops including children in the older age group. Overall the workshop was a success and kids went home with new learning and wonderful memories.
