The Diary of Anne Frank is a well known book read by children of various ages all over the world. This book was written by a thirteen year old teenager who spent most of her teenage days in hiding.

The reason why this book touched my heart was not because it had a touchy ending but because of the way Anne wrote her dairy .Anne Frank was really a very good author and it doesn’t count she was only thirteen. Anne Frank wrote her diary in a rather interesting way, I had to read the book all over five times or so!

Anne Frank even in her hiding, used to crack up silly jokes but she longed to meet a true friend…… At last she found out that her best friend was none other than her own diary who listened to her sorrows all the time, all along!

Anne Frank was gifted a little diary on her 12th birthday among other gifts. She found it the most interesting of course and thought of making it her own diary, sticking up pictures and sharing her thoughts in it.

Anne starts her diary by giving us a clear description of her classmates and her hateful enemies just like a normal teenager. She was very popular with the boys who tried so hard to impress her and they often used to cycle with her too!

Though she had many friends who adored her, she still felt that she needed a true friend to whom she could confide everything.

Of course you could see her diary seemed like any other 12 year olds but when they moved to hiding everything changed.

At first the thought of moving into a completely different place might have thrilled Anne but had poor Anne ever thought that it was to become the worst nightmare she could ever imagine !!!!

After a few days in hiding, Anne found out that they were not going to have happy days ahead….They had to keep quiet with their mouths shut all the morning and they were not even allowed to keep the water taps on or even to flush the toilet! Imagine chatter box Anne living a dull life, locked up in a secret Annexe for 2 years!

With more and more new people coming with them for hiding in the same place, they had terrible competition for food and all they could have a day was a piece of stale bread and rotten lettuce! All these have been sadly explained by Anne in the book.

Another part of this book which inspired me was the parts Anne wrote about war. She had her own opinion about war at such a tender age!

She tried her level best to find something to do except peeling potatoes and doing math! That was when she felt a secret liking to the 16 year old boy called Peter who was in hiding with them..

Anne had hope of returning to her life and making her diary a book but after the last page of her diary, she and her family got caught by the Nazis as they feared and they were taken to the concentration camp were all of them except her father died.

The diary of Anne Frank, the book which inspired me most!!!!!
