Chillibreeze Solutions is proud to present a Travel Writing Workshop in Delhi, an event exclusively for Travel Writing enthusiasts. The workshop will be held on 25th April 2009.
Chillibreeze provides writers in India a platform to connect with writers and clients, professional training through tests and courses, job opportunities through a project matching service, news and resources and feedback from peers and experts.
Main Body:
The Chillibreeze Travel Writing Workshop for Indian Writers will be conducted by a renowned American trainer and writer. The training will cover various aspects of travel writing including: types of travel writing, common travel writing errors, tips, resources, etc. There would be interactive exercises during the session and a “free” post-workshop critique of participants’ travel writing sample.
A certificate will be awarded to all participants. High performers will additionally get a merit certificate based on the quality of their writing, aptitude and performance during the workshop.
Pallavi Rao of Chillibreeze says, “These workshops will provide Indian writers with an opportunity to interact with professional writers and to meet and network with other freelance writers with similar interests. Attending this workshop at Delhi is a great way for any freelance writer to get a foothold in the industry by having their travel writing ability assessed, building skills, networking and getting tips and insights from a seasoned trainer.”
The workshop will be conducted by David Juman, an American writer, publishing professional, English trainer and communications expert. While in the US, David held positions with Simon & Schuster and a number of other prominent publishers. He was the Associate Publisher and Managing Editor of Thomas Travel Ventures’ Official Tour Directory. Currently, he provides travel-related writing and editing services to PhoCusWright, one of the leading sources of information on the travel industry. The founder of WriteGroove Solutions, a Hyderabad-based content and training organisation, David provides editorial consulting, content solutions and training services to a range of companies in India and elsewhere.
“A similar workshop held in Hyderabad in March was attended to full capacity and was very well received by participants, something which motivated us to go national with the workshop.” says Dr. Nishi Viswanathan, CCO and Director of Chillibreeze.
The event is being held at The Residence Boutique Hotel at Panchsheel Park. The Residence Boutique Hotel Group is the Official Hospitality Sponsor for The Chillibreeze Travel Writing Workshop in Delhi. The hotels are managed and marketed by hospitality professionals from esteemed organizations from The Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, Imperial Hotel and Radisson Hotels. Hi,
I’m currently studying in Third Year Bachelor of Mass Media course in Bombay, specialising through journalism. I wish to pursue travel writing after my graduation, so this workshop will be very helpful for me. But I wouldn’t be able to reach Delhi. Can you please let me know if there is one happening in Mumbai too?
Thank You. =)
We hope to run such workshops online so keep watching this space:
