Chillibreeze concludes its first phase of online workshops on technical writing. These workshops are for journalists, writers and teachers as well as those with a technical background.
Trainer Padmaja Narispur is an experienced technical writer and founder of Software Support Services company ‘Scrivvle’ that focuses on technical writing and research/analysis on technology-related themes.
The workshop focuses on practical tips like how to research technical writing themes and offers insights on working with SMEs, and keeping clients happy. A valuable part of this training is the handout on useful resources and tools of the trade – a handy reference document to keep checking back with even for mid-career writers. The training is audio – video enabled and aims at creating an interactive learning space online.
Writer Nupur Roopa who attended the training on 26th June commented, “My queries were answered promptly and expertly. The workshop was a great experience, and I received many tips, which would further enhance my skills as a technical writer. The most important information I received was about online research methods, chunking the information and the paramedic method of editing. Her tips on dealing with the SME’s were helpful. Most of all she cleared all the myths I might have had about technical writing.”
These workshops can also be arranged at a client selected date and time if a group wishes to take the training together. Besides this, a regular schedule of workshops will be released each month for writers to attend on their own.
