Penguin India is ready to launch audio and eBooks in the Indian market. Interestingly, an Indian NGO makes text books in audio form for visually impaired children. There is great potential for eBooks and audio books in India. From converting text books to electronic form to making eBooks and audio books for differently abled- the numbers and opportunities are enormous. The market is set to grow.

The traditional school of thought still believes that eBooks may not be preferred as a printed book. But, there are so many niche areas where one would always prefer an electronic version rather than a printed one. Is it not?

This century is about being niche and eBooks and audio books are sure to make a mark.
