Seeing outside from my Window I was thinking about the root cause of Global Downturn, Suddenly I heard the noise of one car crash because car got uncontrolled. Three people died including Driver on the spot, car is now one piece of Junk. Later on it came in the news that Car driver was drunk.
In the evening time I just went to one garment shop to buy some Dresses for me…there I realized I picked up 3 dresses just because I liked that…I did not think that whether I need that or not. When I reached the home and open my cupboard I realized it’s already full.
Next day I saw in news paper that US major automobile manufacturing company became bankrupt…because they have done the bulk production keeping market analysis in mind that normally in Rich countries people normally own 2-4 cars…. and now there is no consumer.
One day I was invited for an Eco meeting arranged by College student…. there they were stressing if we will not save our environment today…. our beautiful nature will be cause of extinction of the number of species and natural calamities on earth. Questions were arising the what we need to do to save the environment…answer came use pollution making vehicles when it is required, if you can manage by walk and bi cycle use that will be good for the health also. We can do the car-pooling and this way we can reduce the traffic on the road also but the major concern was who will make the effort??
While taking dinner in the night I just switched on the TV and Breaking News was coming that in US 8 years old has shot the Mother because she was stopping her to play X-Box.
Just then my mother told me that neighborhood young boy has committed the suicide after killing her girlfriend. I asked my mother why the girl left him…she told that guy was very possessive about her and use to abuse if he sees her with some one else…that day he saw her talking with his college laughingly and lost mental balance.
The same time terrorist attack news, in Mumbai, was going on the news channel.
Enough I said to myself…closed my eyes and started asking why..why such chaos everywhere…I started searching the answer…and I realized when there was a day that my mother has stopped me for something and I did not listen, thinking that I am educated and can decide what is correct for me. I remember my neighbors’ son bought a expensive car for their son to go to the school because that school is very high profile and more than education status matters for students. One day my friend who is in software industry was telling me that they had unlimited booze party in the office….I asked why unlimited then she told smilingly they think that this way they can make employee happy and employee will be with them if he is satisfied with company. I was thinking whether there is no positive way to keep employee happy?? Is this the thing that employee wants and company giving??
What in current scene…what employer is doing to make employee happy…I heard all the parties and all are cut for cost cutting…ya, now employers have tighten their belt, they know employee should search their own way of happiness because they know employee do not have much choice outside very less job opportunities are there. And now for employees it’s more important to save their job other than being more expecting.
Few days back I attended one corporate training program on corporate ethics. In question and answer round the trainer was telling now a days she is facing some issues with her 10 year old son as he thinks I can print the money by punching some digits at ATM machines and before whatever he asked I gave him but now I can not do that, I have to control my spending, but surely I am realizing I have made the mistake and created wrong assumptions in my son’s mind and if today I will not take the measures I cannot save our future.
US banks has not taken any measures while giving the loan to citizens, and citizens never checked their pocket before taking the loan they wanted and bank gave, and result is visible, Global Meltdown.
Drunk Car driver has not followed the driving measures and 4 people lost their life.
Automobile maker have not taken any social measures while doing the market analysis for manufacturing and became bankrupt.
We are not following any ethical measure while providing luxuries to our kids.
Employers are not taking any positive measures for satisfying their employees.
Young generation is becoming restless and lost because they do not know the correct and moral measures of living a life. It is never being taught to them. Education system has lost its values and now they are more like a business.
I did not take any requirement measure while shopping clothes for me. It was really not required.
We never bothered how we are contributing in polluting the environment and in return only we are getting all the diseases.
God has given us all the resources to enjoy the life but we are destroying the life by using them for our greed and needs. It’s a demand of today’s world: follow only what is correct and needed, Take conscious decisions, Control your desires and create a positive and helping world around you. Think about your own coming generation. Today’s world is highly unstable and if we want to stabilize it to get a happy and peaceful life we all need to take corrective measure…. measures to clean the environment, measures to have a controlled mind, measures to understand what is right and what is wrong, measures to give value to others life, measure to attain wisdom, measures to correct education system etc. But the question will arise how to know what are the correct measures. I also thought of this question and found the answer while reading a book on Vedanta. Vedanta says follow your Dharma and do Karma keeping your conscious as watcher of your own Karma. Not only Vedanta all the religions have set of guidelines to pursue a good living if we follow them our downturn will never happen. Only we can create a good life and a stable world for our coming generations and us. The answer of who will take the effort to clean the environment is simple, one who wants a good and healthy life. Everyone who loves their family and want to create a true wealth for their coming generations, just follow your conscious it’s the measure for doing everything correct.
