A small article with my view point on environment

once upon a time this was the phrase we used to use whenever it rained… because we were sure that if not that day someother day the rain would come back…this is the first phase of children’s rhyme ” Rain Rain go away come again another day…Little Jhonny wants to play” but looking at the environment today are we so sure that it will definitely rain some other day…. I dont think so!!! Yes…. this article is about global warming and its effects…well… am not here to give gyan and write pages on global warming and environment preservation…. i am here to share my views with all and write whatever little i can and create awareness on where the earth is today….
when adam and eve were created the world was so beautiful and peaceful…more than anything else it was a beautiful garden created by the lord almighty where there were so many trees, lovely birds and animals that used to roam along freely and without the fear that they would someday become extinct….what a wonderful world that was…it would have remained the same had man not grown greedier and cut down the beautiful trees, used the animals for their flesh or beautiful skin and used the naturally available resources to the maximum….
I am not against the technological improvement that has happened in this world… because technology has given us so many facilities that we cannot seem to manage without…from the light bulb to tubelights…the primitive phone to cellphones, the abacus to palmtops…the list is endless!!!But have we ever thought that in the mad race of development we have ignored the wonderful nature? every year the population seems to increase… with it increases the number of vehicles people need… and then increases the traffic the polution and finally the big bad word…GLOBAL WARMING!!!!
Global warming is the most dreaded word in todays times… we have all heard that it is resulting in depletion of the protective ozone layer around the world and the ultra violet rays of the sun are reaching the earth…sounds simple??? the effects are disastrous. Lot of people are not aware that the ice in the artic ocean is melting and the water is flowing downwards.. at this rate the water will someday reach everywhere and the low lying areas will get submerged…apart from that if we notice there are a lot of calamities that are happening like floods and earthquakes…all this is the nature’s way to show that what is happening is not right and that we should do something about it!!!
Well…now my readers may ask me what can we do to help… i would not say that giving up technological advancement would be a good idea because so many things are indispensible for us… but what we could do is plant more trees… try to use the resources in a careful way so that they dont get depleted… try to save the largely extinct growing animals by putting a stop to our greed for animal related products and last but not the least minimise polution….
This is not a day’s job and we all need to work towards it…. i know its difficult yet not impossible…all we need to do is think : do we want a better world with life in it or do we want to grow greedier and have dead land???? think about it!
