Author: Smita Chandran

Here comes the end of another day,
The warmth of the sun fades away,
The silent moon now wears the crown
Promising to lay it down at dawn.

She veils the world in her silver spell
When everyone has gone to bed,
Out comes magic, fairies and elves
And princesses dressed in silver and jewels.

Like us, they laugh and love and dream,
And worship the moon, their lovely queen.
They live each second for what its worth
With no worry, full of mirth,
Each knowing that they have not too long,
They’ll all disappear at break of dawn,
And out will come the glorious sun,
And give us another brilliant morn!
