Packing for Your Trip to India: What You Must Take and What You Don’t Have to

Are you planning to spend your vacation at an exotic land that covers interesting and unique diversities? If yes, then plan your trip and pack your baggage to India, a land of multifaceted colors. This bravura and dazzling country is also known as ‘Bharat’ or ‘Hindustan’. Surely, India is a country with various diversities of culture, religion and even seasons. Every state or place of the country has its own charm and uniqueness. Whether you are a lover or die-hard fan of art, architecture, or varied forms of landscape, India is the best spot to ahead for. A single trip to India will definitely make you irresistible and captivating for the second time.

But, before commencing your trip to India, it is very necessary for a tourist to juggle with planning, the key among them include, what you must take on your India trip and what you don’t have to??? It is very essential aspect for making a journey pleasant, relaxing and memorable. The following main key features which will sanguinely help you out-

  1. Indubitably, India is a country with distinctive and worth seeing states and places to visit. It is not possible for a traveler to land at one state, move to next and then come back at the previous. Moreover, one can’t easily figure out the places. So, the foremost things to take along on the journey are a guidebook and map.
  2. One of the most essential aspects is to make duplicates of the important travel documents, such as passport, visa and traveler’s checks.
  3. India is a land of a variety of enjoyable seasons, so be ready to expect sudden climatic changes. If you are traveling in northern part of India and your next stoppage is at western part, you will experience a change in the weather. Hence, pack your bags of your clothes accordingly. Apart from the clothes, don’t forget to take your hat, raincoat and umbrella along with you that will save you from the rising mercury and rains of the monsoon season.
  4. Visiting India also means visiting to magnificent and ancient temples and structures. Going to such places means paying respect and honor to the idols. So, it is always advisable to dress up in attire that looks ethnic to the Indian culture. Wearing body bare clothes do not sound reasonable. Moreover, visiting a country always means paying respect the country’s tradition and customs.
  5. Don’t forget to take socks along with you, as most of the edifices in India are made up of stones, and during afternoon, when the mercury goes up, it becomes unbearable to walk on the floors or courtyards of these temples.
  6. Basic necessity like sunscreen and mosquito repellent are among the other necessary items that should not miss your bags. You might also need a small bag or purse to carry your valuables things while you are sightseeing or shopping in India as there are chances of getting pickpocketed.
  7. If you are taking any of electrical appliances like mobile, camera or video camera with you, purchase an electrical adapter that can change voltage for these appliances. It is essential because American chargers won’t work in India.
  8. There is a very common saying ‘Health is Wealth’. Thus, the health factor should be taken care during your trip. Often people mess their trips after getting all sorts of stomach infection. One should eat and drink hygienic food and water in India. Always buy bottled water and keep it additional in your bag when you travel. Prefer taking fruits and canned juices. Least to mention, one should always carry medicines.
  9. The coming aspect can happen more easily than you think. Make sure when you visit India that you keep yourself covered while in the sun. Always take along with you a hat, sun glasses or a covering. Too much sun or heat can be harmful or put you seriously out of action for days. If you start getting overly hot, tired or dizzy while in the sun, take a break in the shade and don’t forget to drink plenty of water.
  10. Last but not least, take along with you some books that you can read in spare time while moving within India from one place to another. Considering and planning the above mentioned elements are an added beneficial factor whether visiting historical Red Fort and serene Lotus Temple of Delhi and Agra’s beautiful monument of love known as Taj mahal, the enchanting ride of camel in the immense desert of Jaisalmer. So, what are you waiting… over with all the planning then move ahead and happy journey!!!
