Beauty of the Indian subcontinent, is incomplete, without mentioning its North Eastern region. It comprises of seven states ,which are otherwise called “Seven sisters “because of their uncanny resemblance ,in terms of natural beauty.
They are Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. They share borders of over 2000 kms. with China, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh but are connected to the the mainland via a 20km -wide chicken neck corridor, which makes it quite isolated, from the rest of India.

The land of mystic magical beauty, overcasts its spell on every nature lover. It has every essence to feed your soul. The tranquility and remoteness of this virgin landscape, attracts every one with open arms. The North eastern region possesses nature&#039;s abundant resources, full of alluring mountains, mighty rivers, green valley’s, deep dark gorges and rare species of plants and animals.

The magnificent Himalayan peaks, adorn the beauty of the north east. Numerous breathtaking picturesque hill stations nestle in the lap of Himalayan foot hills. They provide wonderful natural views with pleasant climatic conditions. There are many wild life sanctuaries, such as The Kaziranga National park of Assam which is famous for its one horn rhino, The Manas Tiger Reserve, thats famous for its mighty, big cats.

For adventure sport lovers, this zone holds many attractions such as river rafting, angling, and river cruises in the untamed Brahmaputra and its tributaries, besides activities like trekking and jungle camping, on the rugged mountain terrain and the lush green sub- tropical forest ranges.

Although these states have striking similarities, in terms of natural beauty, they harbor their own cultural and lingual identities. Its culture shows the influence of many ethnic groups. Those who pursue an interest about tribal people, their festivals, dance forms, cuisines and artifacts should visit there.

So the north east part of India or the land of seven sisters is still unexplored, full of beauty and mystery. These unseen treasures, provide the perfect eye candy for nature lovers.</description>
