Its time to redefine journalism to journ-a-action

News reporting has been there from ages,only the medium and the audience has changed.People always cherish information and encourage such activities.Over the last ten years Indian media has seen a marked revolution in the News Reporting and Presenting. News which was considered to be an entertainment Stopper while we watched movies on Doordarshan have become today the major watched programmes on the idiot box.With this evolution we have also realized the effect News Reporting makes on our thinking and our daily routine.
Like a seed is to a tree a Youth is to a nation.We see that even though there are large no of presenters and channels out there still our listeners are limited or those who were already there.These people “hear some ,clear some, fear some or tear some” by this I mean that they hear some news or clear some misconception with that news,some get fearful or some just shun that thing.What i want to say here is that nobody gives a proper reaction,they are like a wall which absorbs everything and here all efforts of news reporting go waste.I was a great admirer of “Big Fight” on NDTV and all those sops where constructive discussions were held but I realized after some time that we were only discussing them and nothing on ground would hapen d to correct that thing.So on the same topic you would see only discussions and nothing else.This prompted me to think that Journalism needs to redefine itself to Journ-a-action to survive otherwise what I am feeling today will be felt by everybody.But how can that be done.I have shared my views on that as:-
Youth Involvement:-We have to take away youth from watching Emotional Attyachar and Dare to Date to discussing happenings around but the big Question is why would he do that.We have to do news reporting in the way youth listens,sometimes avoiding technicalities involved.We have to catch young people from the masses who connects easily with the young.These Young reporters will naturally reflect news reporting as would affect their contemporary masses as their analysis on the news will be based on their views on the news which will be same.
Absence of an Icon:-There is a dearth for an Icon on News Industry and I cant Like one my father likes.I want something of my type.Introduction of motivated And young reporters and their proper nurturing can turn them into icons whom Young ones would listen.
Unbiased Reporters:-Once you get into this business you get biased after some time Due to influence around.Your senior already believes in what your Papa believes and later you alos believe that so your reporting consciously or subconsciously gets biased.For getting unbiased reporting we need young raw reporters.
Marketing Perspective:Introduction of sting operations gives a good trp but concepts Like these are old now.For getting new concepts young ones have to be pitted in.
So my conclusion for all that would be that we have seen reporters come fire and then sleep.I have seen that after earning some namet they just do their routine shows,such a disappointment so the time has come that young one who want to create a mark be called in and the importance be laid on youth then only our nation can progress and reporting be effective.
