Run by a small team of published writers and former editors, the website offers a host of free services and resources for fiction writers and poets.

How do these features help?
The database of fiction and poetry markets is updated periodically making the list current, ready and easy to use. The website offers a calendar of upcoming deadlines for publications, themed issues from different publications and a list of writing contests that do not charge entry/ reading fees. The highlight of this website is the free submission tracker for writers. They do not accept or forward submissions to publishers, but allow writers to maintain an online track of their submissions and responses received thereof.
With the submission data compiled over the years, Duotrope has come up with free statistical reports on publications and writers that may be of interest to publishers and writers. Some of the reports include response time statistics – the markets with the slowest and fastest average response time to submissions. They also provide information on markets with the highest and lowest acceptance percentages. Armed with this information, a writer can zero in on his approach to marketing his work!
